TSMC Accelerates 3nm AI Chip Expansion to Reshape Global Computing Supply Chain

TSMC announced on April 17 accelerated 3nm AI chip expansion in Taiwan, US and Japan to meet surging AI computing demand, with 2026 sales projected to grow over 30%. New 3nm fabs in Taiwan’s Southern Science Park will start mass production in H1 2027, with US and Japan facilities underway. Global AI chip supply expands rapidly.
