Anthropic Launches Claude Tag: AI Evolves from Personal Assistant to Team Collaborator

Anthropic officially launched Claude Tag on June 24, an enterprise-grade collaborative AI product that first integrates with Slack. Unlike traditional personal AI assistants, Claude Tag joins channels as a "team member," capable of reading channel context, accessing authorized tools and data sources, and handling tasks delegated by multiple users. It features an ambient mode that proactively tracks unresolved threads and advances projects asynchronously over hours or days, with per-channel memory isolation and token caps to meet enterprise security and compliance requirements. Anthropic revealed its internal version already generates 65% of the product team's code output. AI pioneer Andrej Karpathy called it the third major paradigm shift in large language model user interfaces.
