Nubia Unveils World's First Mass-Produced AI Agent Smartphone, Debuting at WAIC 2026
On July 9, ZTE's Nubia officially announced that the world's first mass-produced AI agent smartphone will make its global debut at the 2026 World AI Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai, July 17–20. Built with a dedicated AI agent engine at the system level with full operation permissions, the device can interpret complex sequential commands and autonomously complete cross-app tasks such as bookings, information organization and schedule management without step-by-step manual operation. As a new category of consumer AI terminals, it marks the shift of AI agents from cloud services to on-device deployment, ushering in the AI-native era for mobile devices.
